Capitalism in Modern Russia
Number of pages:

ABSTRACT:
This 9 page report discusses how the new Russian capitalism is thus, ironically, almost completely based on the groundwork - both objective and subjective - that was established under a centrally planned economy and a socialist society. The economic and political problems of Russia are manifestations of a global recession and an emerging economy, as well as its own internal problems. Thus, contrary to some interpretations, the clamor for a strong leadership in Russia is not a call for a return to communism, but a demand for a responsive and efficient government.Bibliography lists 7 sources.
